My name’s Veronica and here at Salisbury College Australia, I teach general English classes. First and foremost, welcome to SCA! You’ve made an excellent choice choosing to invest in yourself with learning a new language.
I’m from a Filipino background where English is the second official language of our country. Even at the early stage of my life, English has been taught to us as not only as a second language but is also used as a medium of instruction. I was a very passionate writer in my youth, and it is through reading and writing that I’ve pursued a degree in English Language and Literature studies. It was only during my fourth year of college that my interest in teaching began.
After finishing my undergraduate degree, I taught Business English, Research Writing, and Effective Speech Communication in a classroom setting. Meanwhile, I taught English to Koreans, Japanese, and Chinese students online over two years. Because I wanted to better equip myself with more knowledge teaching methodologies, I pursued a postgraduate degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL at Macquarie University and finished my studies on December of 2017.
