General English Course (Starter to Advanced)

This course is particularly designed to work on current English language knowledge and skills will effectively contribute towards confident cultural and social interactions. The General English program targets various learner abilities and maintains an interactive ambiance in the teaching process.

Courses are built around the four core skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. The course will focus on:

Building fluency and accuracy in spoken English
Expanding your vocabulary
Understanding native and non-native English speakers
developing skills and confidence to use English outside the classroom.

Course Structure

Salisbury College Australia has the following entry requirements :

  • Students will need to undergo a placement test to determine their English proficiency level and therefore will be placed in the correct General English class.

Program Duration

A full course will include Total Course Duration: 80 weeks, which includes :

  • Study Period: 60 Weeks
  • Holiday Breaks: 20 Weeks

Mode of Study and Attendance

Our classes are 20 hours a week, face to face classroom based teaching, that requires that our students attend a minimum of 80% of all their classes. We do not offer online or distance based learning or teaching for English Courses.

Award

On successful completion of the course, students will obtain a General English Certificate of Achievement for their course, provided that the student has attained 80% attendance across all their classes and achieve satisfactory academic performance.

Class Sizes

Each class has a student capacity of 18 students. Smaller classes allow the teacher to focus individually on each student on a much deeper level, taking into account their individual learning needs.

Course Credits

Salisbury College Australia does not grant course credits for domestic or international students for any English courses.

Timetable Options

We offer two different timetable options, to suit our student’s needs and preferences. We offer 2 types of shifts: morning or evening shift. Classes will open based on the number of students.
